New On the Ranch

The past couple of weeks have been really stressful. It has really thrown Cowboy and I off our "square" having his daughter and grandson move in with us. I love the girl and the baby but it is really hard having them here. I haven't had much time to blog about it all and have missed some goings on that I want to make sure I remember.

Cowboy's birthday was last Sunday. He's not much on celebrating but we did play golf. I got him a new pair of shorts and a wireless mouse for my computer. (He started to pick a fight with me when he couldn't figure out how to use my mouse pad--stress).

He as been working very hard around the house putting in flower beds and doing lots of honey do things. So I thought I would share them with you all.

Here is a new flower bed that I have planted some peonies in. A few are poking up. I don't expect any flowers this year because they are so late but hopefully next year I'll get a few.

Last year, Cowboy rock lined the bed on the right and this year he did the left and the one straight ahead.

Cowboy got his old water pump fixed so water now dumps out into the pond.

Our neighbors gave us the trim out of their french doors, so we hung them sideways and dug up honeysuckle from my parents farm. The plants are starting to grow and flower. I'm psyched about these.

Here is the new patio set. We sat outside all night last night with the chimena going. It was really nice. Well worth the $75 dollars he bargained for it.

Last year, we didn't have a good start to our garden but this year, lookie. We have 15 tomato plants, 10 pepper plants, cucumbers, squash, peas, onions, beets, spinach, and lettuce. Not bad for city farmers.

I am totally loving my (our) home and my life with Cowboy. I am so lucky to be married to my Cowboy.

When the peonies start blooming, watch for ants. They notoriously attract ants, and your peonies are really close to the house. I love them, but always planted them away from the house for this reason.

I need to come sit on your deck and listen to the peace and quiet of your back yard......

Your yard looks awesome!! You really do have the perfect backyard.....you're still in the city, but it really feels like you are in the country.

P.S. Where are the pics of Cowboy??? :)
